The Statue of Liberty was a welcome sight to immigrants as they arrived their new homeland. Welcoming, and promising freedom and a chance at a new beginning. Our country is a country of immigrants. How can we welcome all immigrants to help make America great?
America is a great nation with a storied past. The stained & soiled flag represents our current, tarnished collective unconscious. The bright 'AND' symbolizes hope for a return to one of our nation's founding principles, 'liberty & justice for all.'
Rather than sitting in despair, this painting represents the importance of staying optimistic & holding the vision that a kinder, more loving world is possible! Acrylic paint and rice paper on canvas | 36" x 48" | 2017
